Prior to joining EY in 2019, Carsten’s successful career path as a consultant and partner featured key management experience at a German industrial corporation in Mexico, where he held the positions of group treasurer and commercial manager. He has a diploma in Business Administration and Management from the University of Essen.
His work in recent years has increasingly focused on addressing and pursuing issues pertaining to treasury transformation. He has also made a valuable contribution to the development of the “Treasury 4.0” concept.
Jörg Wiemer, MBA, is co-founder and CSO of TIS. Jörg draws on more than 20 years of experience in the treasury and corporate finance area, with his most recent previous appointment being Senior Vice President and Head of Global Treasury at SAP AG, where he and his team were responsible for international treasury management.
As Head of Client Relations and Marketing, Kaufmann leads sales and marketing for Fides, including customer relations and partnerships. Kaufmann has more than 21 years of experience in banking, including a combined 15 years with Credit Suisse and Fides. Simon joined Fides as a client relationship manager in 2014. Alex Ilkun joined Moody’s Treasury in 2014 and holds a position of Vice President, leading Treasury Risk and Technology Team. From the Technology perspective, the team is responsible for finding solutions to utilise technology in ways that improve work experience, quality and efficiency of the work that the Treasury team performs. This is aimed at solving business problems by combining the tools that are available, such as continuous enhancements to Treasury Management System, Robotic Process Automation and Visualisation to mention a few.
Before joining Moody’s, Alex worked at General Electric, where he held positions within Treasury and Controllership. This experience combined with CIMA management accountant qualification allows Alex to have a fuller picture of impacts that Treasury actions have on the company as a whole.
Brendan Boucher is the Group Treasurer of Compass Group Plc. Brendan’s career has taken him across the world, from Moscow to Vienna to Dubai, in roles with FTSE100 mainstays to start-ups fresh out the gate.
Brendan has held his role at Compass Group Plc since January 2018. Prior to this, he was Group Treasurer at AstraZeneca, Petrofac Limited (based in Dubai) and OMV AG (based in Vienna). Brendan is a chartered accountant and Fellow of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
Sam Pallotta is Vice President & Chief Risk Officer & Treasurer for Rockefeller Group. He oversees all aspects of investment risk-management in accordance with government regulations and industry standards for the company. He also manages the Treasury Department, including global cash management, cash forecasting and capital markets transactions. Mr. Pallotta helps to define the company’s long-term capital structure and align the company’s financing capability to its business plan. He works with lenders to raise required corporate and project-level financing. As a member of the Strategic & Capital Planning group, Mr. Pallotta partners with senior management and colleagues across the organization on key strategic initiatives including capital allocation and evaluation of prospective investments.
Mr. Pallotta joined the company as Assistant Treasurer in August 2007 and was appointed Treasurer later that year. Before joining Rockefeller Group, he worked for over five years at General Motors’ New York Treasurer’s Office, holding positions in the Capital Markets, Overseas Finance and Worldwide Pension Funding & Analysis departments. Prior to General Motors, Mr. Pallotta worked for Johnson & Johnson in corporate finance and accounting. He began his career as a Research Analyst, Mergers and Acquisitions, for Securities Data Co.
Mr. Pallotta holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Bucknell University and an MBA from the University of Virginia (Darden Graduate School of Business).
Ion Sclifos, Head of Treasury & Financial risk of Orange Romania (covering five entities), the domestic subsidiary of the Orange group (leader of the Romanian telecommunication market), passed fourteen years of experience in the area of corporate finance ( treasury, financing), business development and controlling in the telecommunication sector.
Winny graduated from the University of Cambridge with an MPhil Distinction in Management Studies. She started her finance career with professional accountancy firms, including Arthur Andersen and Deloitte, where she completed her ACA training. Baljit Singh is Head of Treasury at Places for People, an award-winning property, development, management, regeneration and leisure company.
Before joining Places for People, Baljit was Treasury Process Lead at JTI. He has also held positions at BaE Systems and Xchanging.

Bruce has 33 years of experience working in group corporate treasury departments in the property, insurance, investment management, venture capital, financial services and media sectors.
The past decade has seen him create and manage a group treasury function for Markit, the financial services group, that provided the opportunity to directly lead, participate and implement three re-financings, the restructuring of the groups currency hedging strategy to match the group’s core KPIs, change in reporting principle from UK GAAP to US GAAP to match the main revenue stream, a USA private placement, a US$1.5bn NASDAQ listing and the successful merger with the IHS group to create IHS Markit.
In his current role in the group treasury department of Dentsu International, the international arm of Dentsu Inc. (dentsu), 4th largest media group in the world by market capital, Bruce participates in the setting/arrangement, implementation and governance of global treasury policies, specialist finance facilities and regulatory compliance of the group amongst various other ongoing treasury projects.
Heather graduated from Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh with a BSc in Mathematics with First Class Honours. She then continued her studies and gained her CIMA qualification in 2014 followed by the AMCT Diploma in Treasury with Distinctions in 2016, where she was also awarded as the best performing student.
Her first exposure to treasury was as a Treasury Dealer/Cash Management for Tesco in 2013. She then moved into an International Accountant role and later a Senior FX and Energy Dealer role with the same company. In 2016, she moved to Informa as their Risk Manager before progressing to the role of Acting Assistant Group Treasurer in 2017.
Heather currently works as a Group Treasurer for the Global Fashion Group, a leading online fashion and lifestyle destination for global growth markets.
Patrick has spent over 20 years in the treasury profession in industries ranging from heavy manufacturing, retail, travel, IT, music, treasury consulting, financial services and Oil & Gas services.
His PE experience has involved working for a distressed asset to manage covenant breaches, setting up a new treasury function in a spin off and seeking improved funding facilities and developing cash management and forecasting improvements across a diverse group. He has worked in Australia, the UK, France, Germany, the US and Switzerland and is currently based in London with Excellence Logging.
